Here's why your past hurts
Hey, It's Ramon —
A member of our community made a great observation:
"I know the cause of my anxiety… it’s linked to my past.”
You ever have that happen?
I wanna share something with you that changed how long I’m in a negative state… and one of the key understandings of creating Wealth From Safety.
This is gonna sound weird…
But here's the deal.
The past doesn't exist.
Not really. Not the way we think it does.
It exists as a thought.
A picture you're painting right now, in the present, and calling "the past."
Bashar teaches that everything is here and now. Eckhart Tolle says all of our suffering comes from a remembered past or an imagined future.
When you're actually present, those things can't touch you. By definition. You can't be present and lost in a memory at the same time.
So here's the question.
Why would you choose to do it?
Why would you take your infinite creativity and use it to paint a picture of something painful. Something that isn't even real. Something that only exists because you're thinking it right now.
I know the gut reaction. "Ramon, I'm not choosing this. It just happens to me."
I hear you. Stay with me.
Every single one of us, 100% of the time, moves toward what we believe serves us and away from what we believe doesn't.
That's just how we're wired. No exceptions.
So if you keep returning to that memory…
some part of you believes it's serving you… at some level.
That's just the mechanism doing its job. Same one that keeps all of us alive.
So here's the better question to ask.
What am I gaining here?
What do I get from replaying this? Safety? A reason to stay small? Proof that I was right about myself?
Sit with that question.
Because the moment you can see what you BELIEVE you’re gaining, the choice becomes visible.
And once it's a choice, it's yours to make differently.
You have to take responsibility for your experience.
Not in a blaming way. Nobody's at fault here.
But you're the one bringing that memory into the room. Usually without meaning to.
The good news is the same as the hard news. If you're creating it, you can create something else.
Talk soon,
Ramon
P.S. This is the kind of thing we work through together in the Inner Circle.
It's one thing to see the pattern on your own. It's another to be witnessed while you change it. That's where the movement happens. → innercircle.creatingthroughenergy.com
